Qualified Evaluators: PARTICIPATION BY INVITE ONLY
This in-person training provides supervisors, Qualified Evaluators, and leadership teams with an overview of the Florida Academy and the Florida Certification Board’s updated provisional certification process for new Child Welfare Professionals. Participants will review the required components of the Florida Academy, including Foundations, Exam, Specialty Track, structured field days, observation checklist, and the competency-based assessment process that must be completed before provisional certification is granted.
The training will focus on the role and expectations of Supervisors and Qualified Evaluators, including their responsibility to mentor, coach, observe, document, and support new learners as they demonstrate required child welfare competencies. Participants will review the purpose of Assessment Weeks 1 and 2, the required structured field day activities, and the tools used throughout the process, including the Field Days Workbook, Observation Checklist, and Competency Assessment. This training will also prepare participants to complete required forms accurately with supporting documentation and understand the ongoing support available during the assessment process.
