Our Need
We have fewer than 80 foster homes in our community, and more than 200 children who need them. Without enough homes, we must place children out of the area, out of state, or in group homes, which were not designed as a placement for young children or for those who don't require the specialized services of a facility.
Our Campaign
#25by2025 is a campaign to add 25 foster homes to Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast by January 1, 2025. The campaign will guide all recruitment and outreach activities in our system of care for the year.

#WearBlue Days
Wear blue the fourth Saturday of every month, take a selfie and post it to Facebook with the #25by2025 hashtag. In your post, let people know you are helping to get the word out that we need foster parents. And tag @connectedforkids!
Join the Starfish Society
One act of kindness can change the world. Like the single starfish thrown back into the ocean, we can change one child's life at a time through simple acts of kindness.
